One of my favorite words. As an immigrant, you get to experience a minimum of two cultures: the one you were born into and the one you migrate to. I like the idea that I am a cultural hybrid and that this affords me a broader and more compassionate worldview as well as an enriched life experience, greater connection with others and more enjoyment of cultural aspects like film, art, food and more.
In this episode, arts and culture expert and lecturer Gregorio Luke gives us his unique view on culture and how its artistic expression can unite families, inspire learning and transform the world.
Remember that Maryl Today airs live every Thursday at 8 p.m. PST on TV via the Arroyo Channel (Spectrum channel 32, AT&T channel 99) and via live stream online at the Arroyo Channel site. Enjoy the show!
Loved this episode!! Gregorio Luke is so interesting! Thank you Maryl. Also, the notion of teachers as performers as opposed to administartors of learning is profound. You should post that as a quote so we can share on social media. Much success always!! Ale
